Career planning is the usual issue every teenager will be facing during the stage of passing out from school life. They will be in a complete dilemma with lots and lots of questions lingering over their minds. Our team have reached the government schools in some areas of Chennai such as ChoolaiMedu, Aminjikarai and Nungambakkam. We briefed out all the career opportunities for the students belonging to various streams and clarified their doubts regarding their choice of career. We also suggested the foundations which are out there to help for higher education for the economically weak students.

There is a famous proverb everyone of us must be aware of which is “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”. Our team have volunteered ourselves in creating such Godliness in a slum area nearby Triplicane, Chennai. We cleaned a barren land and the walls over there. We didn’t just stop ourselves in cleaning but also, we painted those walls and also made blackboards for the children residing around. We made the barren land colourful for the children.

Planting tree is an investment made in nature to make our life comfortable. Our survival highly depends on trees as they are the oxygen and food providers for us. It is a contribution we make to our mother Earth. Thus, our team volunteered in reaching a school for small children in Purasaivakkam, cleaned the place over there and planted tree saplings. Also, we did gardening at that school to make the place much lively for the kids.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. The weapon should be chosen wisely which needs proper guidance. EduNext is an event we started as a next step towards career guidance. Our team guided the students of XII grade to choose their education in a wiser way and create a bright future. We reached the students of Sri Muthukumaraswamy Devasthanam P Venugopal Chetty Higher Secondary School, Purasaivakkam and gave an idea on what they can choose after their school studies. We cleared all their doubts. We made them get rid of their fears in their mind on exams and also on their future. We gave a clear idea on the course which they can avail in various colleges for different streams.

Naan Veezhven Endru Ninaithayo is an event which collected more than 5000 manuscripts on human rights which was organized by Social Protection Organization. Our team volunteered ourselves for the whole event and also supported them in collecting the manuscripts from various people. Our team supported the whole event of award distribution. Also, with immense pleasure our team received an award for volunteering in that event from the hands of Mr.Ponraj Vellaichamy who was the P.A. of Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam.

Health is the wealth that you need and that's why Team Kanaa wanted to be a part of the Health Camp that took place in Saligramam on 12.01.2020. Our volunteers guided and helped all the registered participants at the all health check up and dental check up podiums and at the blood donation drive.

This Project was an initiative to repaint and renovate a Government primary school at Thiruninravur by crowdfunding as the school needed major restoration and repairs. The project was successfully completed in the second founding year of Team Kanaa and our second anniversary was celebrated along with the students, teaching and non teaching staff of the school with the presence of our supporter and volunteers. Awards and mementos were presented to our well-wishes and volunteers. School furnitures, Computers and Educational materials were provided to the school students to encourage them.

Our dream of offering free and quality NEET coaching classes to deserving students became a reality on 13.07.2020- Team Kanaa's very first batch of Free Virtual NEET Coaching classes began with a set of Passionate and deserving NEET aspirants, experienced teachers and finest medical students.

Sometimes all that we need is the guidance of others because just listening to the experiences of a person will offer us wonderful life lessons that we can use to embark on our own journey. Team Kanaa organized a motivational talk cum webinar for all NEET aspirants and our own batch students to eliminate their worries and fears related to the NEET exam and to clarify all their career related doubts and queries from a professional. Dr. Prabhakar, an eminent Orthopedicaian answered all their queries in a hour long fun and interactive session by preparing and motivating them to face their exams confidently and enlightening them with different career options.
